Essentially Hellmail doesn't give much coverage to industrial relations but often has a go at Royal Mail and Postcomm - particularly White. I've said this before, I don't stop reading a newsaper just because I don't like a comment or an opinion in it. If that were the case, I wouldn't post on here. I don't always agree with other posters but I do respect their right to their viewpoint - even if I don't share theirs or theirs - mine. Setting aside nit-picking typo errors, Hellmail does get out there and do its bit. Lawson's name comes up time after time at protests on closures and hats off to anyone willing to fight back.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Hellmail has been there the longest and gave us a lot of support in their editorial during the strike. Lawson even stood on a picket line alongside posties - I remember that. Seems daft to me trying to cut off our noses to spite our own faces. All we end up doing is cutting ourselves off and fueling comments like Thomson's as well as losing support from peope that DO cover whats going on here and in EU. Each to their own sure, but we do seem to keep seeing the same names in threads all the time now. Many seem to have gone. I remember not so long ago some idiot calling me a Tory boy simply because I could spell. Theres something badly wrong if people are judged on their written English.
The comment/s made on Hellmail are based on the impression they got I guess, and if you look through a lot of threads, he has a point. It makes sense to use more than one site for info otherwise its like only watching ITV1 and nothing else.

I was gonna keep quiet and i normally don't get into this and that when other sites are mentioned.
But,Night Tonic............
RE Hellmail:"gave us a lot of support in their editorial during the strike"
Words escape me.
Especially as in your other post in this thread reads....
"Essentially Hellmail doesn't give much coverage to industrial relations"

Nope. There aren't any. Hellmail is the only one that covers UK & Europe. Harrow & District CWU have a good one - thats always worth a browse. There are a couple of minor industry ones but most of those are direct marketing funded I think. Hellmail does take articles from posties though - good one on there today by a postie pissed off about the pension fiasco. There used to be another postie forum but that shut last year as he had two jobs on the go. Major newspapers and TV rarely cover anything postal unless its a theft or a strike, and even then only a mention. Most coverage during the strike was from HM and here although RMC is membership only and (no criticism) mostly union based. Both sites are important in my view - RMC essential for CWU updates and HM read by industry and top knobs so anything raised there gets around.

MURDERERS. Need to dispose of a body? Simply parcel it up and post it to yourself via DHL. You will never see it again.

That one sticks up for us I thought. Agree its not focused on industrial relations but it was always kind of consumer-driven any way. Still one of my first ports of call either way. Not sure whats got into White today - even mentions Crozier's style of management. Good for him.
