And all in such a small time scale, just over a week!chickenwittle wrote: ↑02 Mar 2023, 18:40Indeed , which is a big ask as our revision is failing daily , so I’m interested to see how this pans out.Poole70 wrote: ↑02 Mar 2023, 18:37Read the appendix to the joint statement , that's where all the detail is.
This is the important one when it comes to the crazy revision ideas they've been forcing through...
10. Revision outcomes, including those already deployed, must achieve USO
compliance, office clearance and the maintenance of all quality-of-service targets.

My guess is the nucleus of a deal is already done , they’ve been talking for months, not like they are starting from scratch.rambo1 wrote: ↑02 Mar 2023, 19:36And all in such a small time scale, just over a week!chickenwittle wrote: ↑02 Mar 2023, 18:40Indeed , which is a big ask as our revision is failing daily , so I’m interested to see how this pans out.Poole70 wrote: ↑02 Mar 2023, 18:37Read the appendix to the joint statement , that's where all the detail is.

And if they don't what's the punishment for RM?Poole70 wrote: ↑02 Mar 2023, 18:37Read the appendix to the joint statement , that's where all the detail is.

Fines? Up in front of Parliament? The board would just set the simple one up as a sacrificial lamb (because
surely his credibility is screwed anyway after his cumulative performances in front of the parliamentary committee)
and he'll be out on his ear. Meanwhile people have been kicked off duties, quit or are working unmanageable duties
and are mentally and physically f**ked.
Are they going to revise the EA's in 12 days with CWU involvement? Don't think it can be done, there's that much s**t that
has already happened or is planned that a lot of revisions will just be ok'd through under the guise of 'we understand
the business has got to change'.

Re: Update 1730 today
Thing is they did not want to talk now they are and it is the speed of change and also the cost of living that goes into that, This may take more than ten days talking it may be more and I for one would welcome a better deal than a rushed deal!chickenwittle wrote: ↑02 Mar 2023, 19:42My guess is the nucleus of a deal is already done , they’ve been talking for months, not like they are starting from scratch.rambo1 wrote: ↑02 Mar 2023, 19:36And all in such a small time scale, just over a week!chickenwittle wrote: ↑02 Mar 2023, 18:40Indeed , which is a big ask as our revision is failing daily , so I’m interested to see how this pans out.Poole70 wrote: ↑02 Mar 2023, 18:37Read the appendix to the joint statement , that's where all the detail is.

Re: Update 1730 today
Correct.
These revisions are designed to align hours to workload and improve
productivity,
If the revision is failing it might be because the improvements in productivity have not been forthcoming.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Re: Update 1730 today
I think the drubbing the three stooges got at the parliamentary committee has had a great deal to do with progress being made. Think the major shareholders have had their eyes opened and told Simon to get his act together or bugger off.

Re: Update 1730 today
Reading between the lines about the negotiations I think the pay deal has all but been rubber stamped. Ward said that they both agree the company is in now in a perilous financial position. If that’s the case the previous pay offer won’t be upped. Reckon it will now be a 2 year deal now it’s nearly April again. I don’t think it will be backdated either. There might be a bit more leeway in the start times hopefully not being so late.

Re: Update 1730 today
Well it is all up to conjecture a pay rise of 9% would end the pay dispute and will we accept unfettered change in OUR workplace?roman wrote: ↑02 Mar 2023, 20:24Reading between the lines about the negotiations I think the pay deal has all but been rubber stamped. Well you cannot always get what you demand!
Well dispute resolution.
Well it's HALFWAY.
As too they the management have pursued some on here and the workplace is wrong and some may be looking at other options in the coming future of their careers.

Re: Update 1730 today
Revision : 3 rounds now instead of 2. Frames totally wrecked, when they didn't need to. Walksorting : the overheads are wrong (again) so the few sorters we have, are up against it. Failures every day - that will be because we are not working fast enough (again) The lack of staff means that 100% clearance will never happen, RM will pursue being parcels and to scrap the USO, they won't stop. Just think £700 million profit wasn't enough, says it all.

Re: Update 1730 today
£700 million is not enough if you donate/give away £567 million and your bonus depends on it shareholder value so who's your daddy?ANDREW CROCOMBE wrote: ↑02 Mar 2023, 21:04Revision : 3 rounds now instead of 2. Sounded like the Union want 9% backdated to April. I think this is what we'll get.roman wrote: ↑02 Mar 2023, 20:24Reading between the lines about the negotiations I think the pay deal has all but been rubber stamped.
