Clocking in/out machines?
Do you remember them? All you do nowadays is sign a bit of paper. Come on how many of us have got to work half an hour late but written in correct start time? It would be very interesting to see these machines back again? But none of the old get your mate to clock you on/off? Thumbprint technoclogy? The point i am trying to make is why should i have to work 8 hours and get paid 8 hours when some "Flash Gordon" works 6 hours and gets paid for 8 hours?

Clocking on and Clocking off machines only work in industries where top level managers dont trust lower level to manage the work force. Oh silly me that whats happening at Royal Mail nowerdays. Never never hope for this style of control system to come back. Its what our fathers and grandfathers fought long and hard to get rid of.

We have the situation where we have vehicles at two offices, so you pick up a 380 at the DO drive to the MC doing your late collection. Then it's of to Stansted and back, when you return your vehicle the DO is locked up. Where do you clock off.?
