Capture Photo on Delivery – all Special Delivery Guaranteed and RM Tracked Signature items now included

We’ve extended our Capture Photo on Delivery service so that it now includes all Special Delivery Guaranteed and RM Tracked Signature items – including Age Verification products.

First Class and Second Class Signed For items are not included in Capture Photo in Delivery.

We started Capture Photo on Delivery in November 2021 and extended our offering in March last year. The number of customers utilising this service continues to grow.

With this latest change to Capture Photo on Delivery, both a photo of the item and customer signature will be visible on Royal Mail Track and Trace as well as our Tracking Enquiry System.

Most carriers already take photos of items they deliver. This is something we’ve been working towards as part of the transformation of our business. It will help us enhance trust at the doorstep.

Photos are helpful for any ‘denial of receipt’ claims and the inclusion of Age Verification products reduces the risk of delivering blades, alcohol and other age-restricted items to minors.

Changes have also been made to the Age symbol to make them more intuitive. Additionally, an Information icon will appear on the Capture Photo on Delivery Age Verification screens, to explain what you are doing if you or the customer is hearing impaired.

If you don’t observe your PDA requesting a Photo for these products, then it is likely that your PDA has not been updated, so please ensure that it is cradled overnight. If this doesn’t fix the issue, please report this to your COM.

No word on this from the wpc or manager. Got a special signed for then took a photo of the driveway. Will be being asked to take a snap of every letter soon.

Yet more info to send to ‘the cloud’. No one tell the RM board about how the cloud is killing everything. It’ll ruin their ideas for being all green and carbon neutral washed.

Why they can't let you input the name first, then take the photo and get the signature, nope take pic, then wait to type the name in then get the signature. I'm waiting on the fingerprint scanner and DNA collection tube to be added next. All for the small number of people that deny receipt.
