MANAGEMENT GEMS!!

Post by POSTMAN »

Ok,for those of you not in the know my office is on the vans,we don't use cars, come in early, and take our break.
We have extra drivers, cluster reserves and casuals in EVERY DAY to help out.
This is because of exec act in my office and has been going on for about 2 months now.
At times we have had to cut off,and to be honest the whole office workplan is out of the window and completly screwed.
But now it getting nasty, funny, but nasty.

Had an area Manager down last week, here are his and a few other numnuts gems.

A DOM from another office came down and threatened my guys that they HAD TO use their cars because they have signed the declaration,he even said it to people who have never driven in their lives.
Area Manager said the same thing.
Lino who's panicking big time, threatened everyone with wilfull delay if they cut off, even when they only had 2hrs duty time left to do the walks.
No one is allowed to cut off
IF you cut off, then work till your finish time,THEN bring all the work back to the office, even if you have to get a BUS back and you've loads of bags.

There are 4 Managers in today clearing the packets. :dance
Moral is sky high :dance My rep and the whole office is having a ball :dance

Your Mangement Gems please. :Very Happy

ps: Moral of the post,GET ON THE VANS!!!
:dance
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Wow your bosses in a perverse sort of way must be looking forward to the vote result so that they don't feel so put upon, and because every manager in any DO will soon be in the same situation.

These managers are great, aren't they? I trained our DOM when he started as a cadet about 20 years ago. Last week at the WTL, I asked him why Crozier gets (I wouldn't use the word 'earned') £1m a year when we're on £324 a week. He says, "Well, you wouldn't pay Steven Gerrard as much as a non-league footballer would you?" Actually, I wouldn't pay any premiership footballer more than a nurse or doctor, but there you go. So I said "At least Gerrard is bringing some pleasure to several thousand people every week. The only way Crozier is likely to do that is by kicking the bucket."

Same at our office. I always thought 'Tools For The Job' meant getting the right equipment. Obviously 'Tools For The Job' refers to the half-wits running the job.

That's a spelling mistake on management's part, mate. It should read , "Fools for the job", hence the multitude of morons in
managerial positions !!! :cool
