OPG
Its a shame you didn't take some photos, when they'd all got back of delivery John. To show how much work didn't get completed.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

We had a full time World Class Mail person at our office. Paid about 40,000. Put a poster up ocassionally.pieoftheday wrote: ↑17 Feb 2023, 17:15I never really knew what World Class Mail meant, occasionally a manager would say it but never in any real context that I could tellTrumanity wrote: ↑17 Feb 2023, 16:47World Class Mail. Amira Rahmoune RMtv lackey
there was 1 OPG that spoke correct. But I guess people would rather voice their opinions on Royal Mail chat then when they have the chance to be listened to by people that can actual do something about it

They probably send a van out with the SDs and time delivery itemsBoltonian-White wrote: ↑17 Feb 2023, 16:23How do you plan ahead for timed deliveries when you're no idea what you'll be doing from one day to the next?

Is this quote a joke, a made up statement?
Surely it's not a genuine one.

If someone can explain how the sorting works that would be great.
I’m going to assume we don’t have Steve walking from one end of the horseshoe to the other in order to prep his next letter.
So let’s say to make it more efficient for sorting, the horseshoe is presumably sectioned say 1-30.
That way Steve just has to stay at section 1 otherwise it would be a bit daft.
Now let’s call this bit of the horseshoe “Walk 1” just for argument sake…

How did the galaxy brain managers even expect this to work?
"Right, it's light today so you're all doing 1.8 metres of frame each today. Hang on, I'll fetch the tape measure".

Given that most Tracked will be timed delivery, how would that plan work?SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑17 Feb 2023, 19:31They probably send a van out with the SDs and time delivery itemsBoltonian-White wrote: ↑17 Feb 2023, 16:23How do you plan ahead for timed deliveries when you're no idea what you'll be doing from one day to the next?
Royal Mail
failing the workforce, failing the public and deliberately failing mail on a daily basis for too many years.

what happens if someone's round makes them go over and they cut off as not everyone is the same speed with age and other factors?
Plus what about when people are off ill?

f***ing hell I can’t believe this has gotten so much attention but it does sum up Royal Mail management that they think reorganised deckchairs means efficiency.
Lee Martin has somehow reinvented the Royal Mail prep and delivery wheel.
We have:
similar sized loops according to terrain-check
Skilled/prior knowledge frame prep-check
Differing workloads according to traffic-check
So, everything we do now but in a horseshoe shape-HURRAH!
Jesus.
