We’ve been told no more 4 days a week or 9 day fortnights. Not sure if you refuse to change as it affects life balances do they just sack you. Been on these shifts for 10years

Lapsing and duty holders ( mainly non drivers ) being moved off a walk that’s been chosen for lapsing. Driver takes other side and a loop ( or 2 in my case-small loops though) from the lapsing. At least I’m on my own

Are the union fighting this or just letting it happen,there is an office in our sector on the 9 day fortnight and they are changing them back to 1 in 4 and the union are doing nothing there,we do need some clarification even if the union come out and say there is nothing they can do,they need to start helping a bit.

Most office they want to go to 1 in 6 Saturdays off.

So the people that are displaced by walks disappearing become reserves? How does that work exactly? In our area of 40 plus walks, they're losing over a quarter. That's a lot of reserves.

Just been told I've lost my duty as its going part time there is no duty for me in the job 25 years I've I've also lost my rotating day off and will become a reserve a new start has been given my duty and rotate and I've time traveled back to 1998 when I first started.

I’ve done 33 years and I am expecting to be in the same situation as you. I know my duty is going along with over 20 others. I’m sure under previous agreements the changes should trigger a full repick but previous agreements seem to mean nothing anymore. Quite expecting to be back RTI when it’s all implemented.

Revision in our MC being forced In a week on Monday, removal of 20 FT duties which is 30% of total, 18 supposed VR’s (2 duties were vacant), too date none have been offered VR, rumours of only 6 VR’s maybe offered on wk 1 of financial year.

They're just a load of numpties who want more work added to their walks

Union said they are not involved so there’s no re pick. No duty’s except 5 day ft or 5 day pt. The yes vote will be announced after all the changes are in including later starts once it’s all changed they will not change back they never do

I can’t speak for other DOs, here we just have 1 in 4, and 4 day weeks here. I asked a manager if they plan on getting rid of 4 day weeks, she said not this time round but it’s on the agenda for the next negotiations (in her words ‘which will probably be in a couple of years’).

So how many hours a day are you working and what time are RM saying your start time will be in the future?

Sorry, having reread my post it wasn’t very clear. I’m on 7hrs 10mins a day, and work 4 days a week. Most others are on 5 day weeks (1 in 4), 7hrs 10mins a day apart from Weds/Thurs (my 2 days off) when they work longer, can’t remember how long they work those days.

Our start/finish times move to half an hour later.

(1) Absorbing suddenly increased from 2 walks to 6 walks, with little notice. Ill thought out, plenty of dead walks with no effort to loop up each bit of absorption.
(2) Extra postbox collections added on delivery, with no notice till the day and over a week till the public were notified of earlier collections times on the boxes after the changes come into effect.
(3) Stopped all posties working their rotation weeks off, many of them having done so for years - unless they had signed for them under SA (scheduled attendance)
(4) No extended overtime being paid on some days (particularly Tuesdays) if too much work to complete in contracted hours
(5) Threats you won't be paid if you forget to sign in or sign out under SISO (although I understand at this stage, SISO is not supposed to be linked to pay)
(6) All mail has to be taken out on delivery, even if it's obvious it can't all be completed in contracted hours, so wasting time the next day returning the mail back to sorting frame and further impacting the time available for delivery the next day

Tannoy announcements to "concentrate on the Trackeds and Specials" if you can't complete, quietly dropped the day after Simon Thompson said in the Parliament Select Committee said RM doesn't prioritise which mail is delivered.
