Council Tax Letters for every door tomorrow?

Rumour at our place that the councils are putting out letter to every resident in every door.
Some local tax thing (North East).


Anybody heard similar?

Usually happens around this time of year - it will be the statement of council tax payable for the rates year beginning in april
Water rates are usually sent out around the same time to every address. When we get 100% postings like this we are usually told to take where we are already calling and complete in 2/3 days, but if it's anything like the last few days we will be calling at about 99% of addresses anyhow.

Got load of big letter from a local housing group (if correct) for every council house on the walk today. My line manager say I can do half today. It is a nuisance.
