Customers lies

Post by leiwolf »

Really bad day in the office, oh woe is me another bloody shite day.

Recently I covered a float set, and on one particular round, I according to the customer has posted his items to another house, I don't think I have because on that day I don't remember going up that house drive. Now the customer blamed the regular postman saying that her husband has seen him on that day delivering mail, he replied that shes talking out of her jacksy because it was his day off and someone else was doing his round.

Now it could be possible for her to mixed us up, doubt it because hes taller and bigger build then me and I have got a moutasche. Yesterday her husband allergely came up to him and told him that he asked 4 my name so he could complain and I Allerge gave his name instead.

In 4years since i have started not one customer has asked me for my name, let alone asked it so they could complain about me. On that particular day I hardly saw a soul, and only talked to a few people who asked how I was and so forth. I came into work this morning, he, the regular postman on that round has told most of the office claimin that I was using his name, I actually thought he was taking the mick when he asked me this morning, esp has he was making people laugh with this story. A few people have a go at me and only found out he was being serious when the manager told me about it. I am upset that instead of being confronted quietly most the office knew, the manager even on his own back told a few people to leave me alone which inflamed the situation even futher.

The only thing I can make out of all this is either I am lying (which I know I am not) or one of the other two is lying about it. If its the regular bloke lying then I don't know what to think about it. If its the customer lying can't I sue the customer for defermation(Not spelt it right) of character and the stress that it has cause?

Thankfully the Union rep and the manager are going to go to that customer on monday to have a word, so hopefully it will be sorted. Sorry its a long one, wanted to get it off my chest

Mis delivery is not a hanging offense. I personally do not give names out to anyone, but it sounds like someone is telling porkies. Forget it have a good weekend and the truth will come out in the end. Every postie makes mistakes, but some posties think they are so clever they just love to take the mick but it can be hurtful. The manager should clamp down on this asap.

Don't worry too much about it. I bet every postman have complaint for whatever reason. It is a thankless job.

Remember that you have an employee number (not your pay number) so all you have to give is that (just like the police do)
