There goes our so called door step trust we supposedly have. Seems to me a very complicated way to get bits of paper though holes in doors. And how does everyone know they have the same amount of work and are being treated fairly. Open to abuse and would require intense mangament intervention on a daily basis.

Here's an idea to save money, how about get rid of most of the managers in royal mail? They basically do nothing apart from wearing out the office floor from constantly pacing round in circles in a futile attempt to look busy.

There's also no real motivation to get though your loops at any speed, as there is at present to finish a complete walk. Also how does prepping the walk and sorting the packets work? Each morning are posties allocated certain loops to prep?

I think it's a jest, various fittings close together with connecting loops on each fitting are just delivery/ walk fittings close together POSTMAN is having a chuckle with us. ,'the comms floated this idea to me which we have decided to trial, ' who is we? Union rep? A postie? Who would accept/ agree such a trial currently?

This is Royal Mails future ideas and ways of working being introduced in Delivery Offices.
Ideas have not come from the office locally and they are part of the centres vision for the future of no individual delivery routes for OPGs to perform.
If this was about being transparent then it wouldn’t have been posted on a closed RM managers group linked to the ‘Go Beyond Events’.
What I do know is after speaking the Area Reps locally, the frames where moved by managers on a Sunday and wings disassembled and assembled, shelves held together with cable ties, marks on the floor suggests frames where dragged and not lifted properly, some end wings are completely unsupported underneath, work tops running at curious angles and not flat.
No consultation with the ASR as prescribed by the SRSC regs because the change constitutes major change.

If that's the case with frames being put together with string and ties then I would refuse to stand beside any frame that has not been put together properly.

I knew the company likes cutting corners but this takes the biscuit.
