No you are not entitled to abuse the system as you comment implies

Why should you get paid for not working when others with genuine cases may fall out side the attendance peramaters.

That's the same mentality as displayed by a numbnut in my office, who's been on more Stages than Mick Jagger.
He's just had an RTU (Stage 3), the second one in under a year, and even the manager who normally tells him off-the-record 'not to worry' has been telling him there's naff all she can do to get him off

He's about to find out he's not nearly as smart as he thinks he is. I for one won't have any sympathy for him if he's dismissed
