Any subject debated in Parliament demands a level of respect for all involved. Have to agree holding up a sign is no better than an individual doing exactly the same thing behind an outside broadcast interview. People are talking about how unprofessional that was rather than the substance of the debate. For a head of communications, he should know better and be impartial to that debate.

I’ve been fed up with the union’s professionalism and approach for a while tbh. The stupid dancing about videos and inane drivel posted on social media (not on it but people tell me in the office).

Absolutely furious at the schoolboy behaviour by our Comms representative. The clown seriously damaged the validity of Dave Wards arguments and the reputation of the CWU...he's been poor all year.....perhaps it would be better to use our subs to bring in a professional...I for one will be canvassing to ensure colleagues do not vote for him at next election !!

Yes coughing tosser appeals to my sense of humour, but this is serious, our jobs our lives could change dramatically if RM get their way, so in this instance I'm not laughing

The minority who think this is amusing need to realise that when you are in front of MP's who - let's be honest - live in a completely different world to us anyway, how you put your case across and your behaviour are taken in. This is a dispute so serious that it has ended up before Parliament, so anyone who thinks this is still amusing needs to give their heads a serious wobble. In many ways this was a courtroom, with the CWU the prosecution and Thompson the defence.

Dave not only put the CWU's side brilliantly, he came over good as well. The MP committee will have been fully aware of who Webb was within the CWU to be allowed into the room in the first place, so for him to act like the juvenile plank that he did, reflects on the CWU as a whole, particularly as he is the HEAD of COMMUNICATIONS.

Thompson didn't need any help with digging himself into a hole when giving his "evidence", and the fact that Thompson eluded to Webb's buffoonery in a video yesterday says that it hasn't gone unnoticed.....the LAST thing ANYONE should be giving Thompson and the board is ammunition

Don't really have a problem with the vote yes stunt, it's a meaningless select comity, great to watch little Joe 90 getting roasted and shown to be the deceitful sack of crap he's being paid to be but nothing substantial will happen, did he deceive the comity: YES

It was a pleasure to watch ST getting a grilling a squirming uncomfortably in his seat. But I was distracted by the two idiots behind, laughing and joking and on their phones. Then the vote yes sign.
Extremely embarrassing. Dave and Andy put up a good account for us all, only to be let down by two idiots. Dave Ward needs to have serious words with those two. It’s not a laughing matter. This is our future that’s in question here. GROW UP THOSE WHO THINK THAT WAS A FUNNY STUNT.
