The way I see it is this most people now on delivery will naturally ask questions about all they have been told in the past three years and will rightly question it so what is the course of action then. Get the manager to write a letter too you to say what will they prioritise today you need to do this everyday and have it signed and dated.

Shite would appear to be rolling down the hill again.
I don't suppose the managers are going to be too happy that its aimed in their direction.
Stormcoats and souwester hats on ladies and gents since they'll be deflecting onto us as usual.
Interesting times.
My manager has been sacrificing other mail to specials and tracked performance since 2020 and as recently as last month said that RM is happy for specials, tracked and other pkts to be cleared whilst 50% frame mail is rolled-over. 75% usually gets rolled-over and he just added another hours worth of delivery.
I remind him that resourcing is his job, not mine.
They are not going to be happy with Grant?

Does it also stand to reason that lapsing should not be prioritised?

I imagine the dire state of lapsed duties results in a lot of complaints which means work for management. On the rare occassions lapsing was rolled back, the residents were vocal in their pleasure to see the regular duty holder out every day.pieoftheday wrote: ↑19 Jan 2023, 09:59Does it also stand to reason that lapsing should not be prioritised?
The machine stops.

The question is, who is telling the screws to do it in the 1st place? They are not going to be happy with Grant?
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

It’s now got to the point you can’t believe a single word from management. They have been proven to be liars

1. YOU DO PRIORITISE PARCELS, GRANT!!!! Any tracked parcels brought back are sent out again on overtime ahead of any mail, no matter the size.
2. POSTIES DO NOT HAVE TO CLEAR OUR FRAMES EVERYDAY - WE HAVE A FINISH TIME. YOU NEED TO EMPLOY ENOUGH STAFF AS WELL AS HAVE REASONABLE SIZED WALKS.
3. YOU ARE NOT EMPLOYING ENOUGH STAFF AND HAVE NO PLANS TO! YOU PROVIDE NO DAY-OFF COVER IN MY LARGE DELIVERY OFFICE. YOU ARE ESSENTIALLY RUNNING A 5 DAY LETTER SERVICE FROM THIS OFFICE AND HOW MANY MORE!!!
I HAVE HEARD YOU AND THOMPSON ARE ONLY ALLOWING US HALF THE NUMBER OF STAFF WE NEED.
OFCOM - IF YOU ARE LISTENING - ROYAL MAIL ARE TAKING THE ABSOLUTE PISS !!!
