their aim is to add more to walks that are already too big....

If it's causing anyone stress & anxiety you can easy self cert for 7 days (no doctors note requirement by law)

If no improvement after 7 days apply for an extension.
It can usually be done/encouraged to do online, (it's a relatively an easy process to complete)

The self cert for 7 days, is that the actual law? We have definitely been told we will not be paid unless we have a doctor's note for any period of sickness including one to seven days. Where is the union on this?

Sad to say these are phoney talks. The "tack the CWU" on that whiteboard, was all you needed to know. They are progressing everything they want as they chat.The needing a docs cert for the first week of absence is hardly a sign they are going to be accommodating in negotiations.

It's on the gov uk website which clearly states your statutory rights.
Print off a copy or send a link to your comdom & request him to either read it out in a daily huddle or the WTLL bollocks
