How else would you get your work on Monday.
This premium from memory is worth about £2 an hour.
Going forward when delivery is required to work Sunday's wouldn't it be good for all if this payment was kept.

I have worked in aRM for 9 years and I've never heard of any of these allowances. This statement meansthe square root of f*** all to me. If that's all that's been achieved after a week then don't bother with the remaining week. If RM haven't even made noises about an increased/backdated offer by now then they are not going to. RMm are buying time so they can put in as many revisions as possible by picking the unions brains as to how to do it. Then they walk away from the talks and return to normal bully boy tactics.

RMG have moved on allowances which cost diddly squat to them on the grand scheme. 'Best and Final Offer' still there I'm afraid!

Regional Recruitment Incentive Scheme (RRIS) is paid in certain areas (regional) where the cost of living, housing etc is higher than average. In the office I left, it was worth around £34 a week.

While some people may not "give a sh1t" about them, they are vital to some. The original offer of 2% while removing RRIS would have meant a pay cut before playing around with inflation and the like. What point in a pay rise of around £8 a week if you are having a £34 supplement removed?

But the way they have phrased keeping it for existing recipients, it sounds like when they make us sign a new contract which includes Sunday working, we won’t get the premium.

Nothing about the other allowances?!! Ex-PHG, defined area and processing supplement equates to about £40 I'll lose in two year's time

Exactly . The ex PHG supplement is pensionable . It’s not the £20 per se but the loss of more pensionable pay that bothers me .Personally I’d be willing to subsidise any pay rise using this allowance until it’s eventually absorbed into my basic pay . So long as I don’t lose any current pensionable pay , I’d agree. I hope you read this board Dave & Andy

Royal Mail make it sound like they’re doing a huge thing…..but a recent poll on here suggested the allowances were the thing we cared about the least in this dispute!

It is for performing duty hours on a Sunday, currently pays £5.95 per hour for OPG’s so 7.4 hour shift gives a pensionable allowance of £44.03 plus if applicable shift allowance on top ie 5 day week with 7 hr 24 Sunday finishing at 2000 you get the number above plus 1/5th evening allowance.
