Can’t see anything other than most of this being in place before another ballot even takes place, really difficult to see anything positive ahead, everything is in place for the Royal Mail to completely go down the toilet. Fingers crossed whatever the pay rise it will be back dated as a good will gesture
You honestly expecting a good will gesture :arrrghhh

We could do with more strike dates.

Give people a few weeks to build up some cash, then go for weekly 2 day strikes, or maybe Sat/ Mon for a few weeks, something like that.

We can't leave it until the new ballot, but I'm worried that's what the union will do.
I concur. I think they're going to give us a chance to get some cash behind us again, and then the 2 days will commence. I don't think the union will allow momentum to ebb.
Momentum is now lost imho.. how do you mean get some cash behind us..if you mean ot cant see much going an people living on a flat week with a strike day or 2 thrown in will simply give up.

The union have already said they are mindful that they cannot burn some people out .

The Strikes would of been broken on the 23/24 of December (pointless imo)if people hadn’t received the Bonus or extra O/T.

Once you get to 20% of a office there’s a behavioural equation where more and more will go in.

I guess a sea of yellow means the yellow reflective jackets used by agency staff.

Agency workers don’t want to do deliveries. They are happy doing a few parcels but doing a full delivery is a different matter.

We all await with bated breath the next attack on our pay and conditions by RM management.
In what form will it take and how will we respond is the question on everyone's lips at my place.

The CWU have gone soft now with no new dates in early January letting RM off the hook.

Fresh ballot.
What the support for further IA will be is anyone's guess.
I'm guessing the yes vote will be less than the previous ballots but then one has to remain optimistic.

It’s all over. The union thought the strikes during Christmas would make Royal Mail fold and make a somewhat decent agreement. They didn’t and now the union don’t have a clue what to do next. If Royal Mail didn’t back down during Christmas then they never will, they are hell bent on these disastrous business wrecking changes and nothing is going to stop them.
Can't disagree with this.
I am 100% union, but facts are facts - they are now completely stuck between a rock and a hard place, and those with their eyes open will see this. They have played all 3 of what could be called "trump" cards....Christmas/Black Friday and Cyber Monday with strikes and the company have shockingly just ridden the storm, still refusing to back down to the union's demands, even just before Christmas. By doing this it proved beyond doubt that the company were putting their resolve to beat the union before children getting their presents and old folk getting their Christmas cards, which leaves most ordinary people open mouthed.

Striking is the only form of attack at the moment but the financial hardship it is causing to some will see support dwindle with every next one.....and wait until the credit card bills start dropping on the mat during January....

"Work to Rule" could be VERY carefully considered, but there is a very fine line between what is "work to rule" and "failing to comply with a reasonable request" by management (they love that one), and given the narrow minded blinkered vision of some employees you can set the timer from when this would be implemented until the suspensions and sackings start.

The more strikes - the more business lost - the more cuts made to counteract that which will only be via further attacks on the workforce. What you see now is the future of this company. If that's the future some want to be a part of everyday then damn good luck to you as you will certainly need it in abundance. When you see so many loyal, hard working, conscientious, customer loving posties with 20 and 30 plus YEARS service leaving the company they would normally not have dreamed of leaving before retirement - it tells a massive story. They are the ones to take note from!

Priority, what they want you to do isn't a reasonable request, coming in early isn't, missing meal brakes isn't, not doing overtime isn't, coming back with mail if you tell them before leaving isn't and they can check your PDA to see that you've not just stopped for half an hour, a work to rule is simple that stick to the rules, if we all do the job properly they'd be crapping themselves, our unity is our strength and trust me that is the thing little joe 90 and his cronies fear the most and want to actively dismantle and if we let them we lose, so just stick together yes the company didn't care about Christmas they wrote that off like nothing cos the goal for them is the destruction of the union that's what this is about and we have to show them we're not giving it up, by action supported is a blow against them, united we stand divided we fall it really is that simple
