My DO was on the verge of walking out this morning :Very Happy the DUM decided that people would have to double prep frames otherwise he'd suspend them so many arguments ensued and then we had a meeting with the HR head from the MC (who'd been brought down because of what happened yesterday) so he spent around 3hrs listening to our complaints about the manager (this same manager has been removed from at least 2 previous offices because of complaints about his attitude/incompetence).

Got into office and walk already been prep for me, went outside to look for a bike/trolley none! Had a go at manager about people on holiday who take keys etc away with them not thinking about people who have to cover them.

Ended up with a bloody golf trolley from the manager!!!

Took pic with phone to show someone I was going for a round of golf!

You're lucky because I've never had a long weekend, unlike all the other reserves who tend to get left on a duty (in one case for 18 months).

As for today well it works out like this:40 mins IPS
90 mins prep/load up
40 mins break
6hr delivery

I really hate this duty :evil/mad [/i]
Same here regarding the long weekend mate.

All the other reserves seem to be kept on the same duties,me,im shifted here, there & everywhere.

Complained about it but f**k all gets done.

Doesnt help that the bloke who does the planning is a total bell-curve i suppose. :arrrghhh

As a new recruit with just 2 weeks under my belt, and first time out on my own this week, how unusual is it to miss the van in the morning at this stage?

Not very  but you'll get quicker as time goes on and remember not to come in before your starting time because it's up to management to get you and your bags out. :Very Happy

Ive been working about a month now, and it seems that it depends what walk you are on as to how much help I get throwing in. Some guys seem better at helping than others.

In my first two weeks, when I first went out on my own, there was a couple of days I only left the office at half 11 because of the lack of help prepping. Id missed the van by a long time.... There didnt seem to be much concern

I'm 7 months in and miss my van daily, althought so do many of the full time guys because he goes when he's ready. Doesnt help that he has left 15 minutes before i enter building. Everytime i claim docket i get asked why i miss my van every day. The repeated answer doesnt seem to register with the lino
