Mail dumped beside river

A Twickenham resident has raised concerns about junk mail being dumped by a river bank.

Jean Pinto, of Whitton Road, complained last month when she noticed a pile of letters lying on the bank of the River Crane opposite the sorting office.

Mrs Pinto said: "A few days later I got one of the same junk mail letters through my door. Whoever is to blame, someone paid to send them and they were simply dumped."

Although the letters turned out to be junk mail Mrs Pinto said she did not know that at the time and was concerned the mail could have been important or confidential documents.

A spokesman for Royal Mail denied the junk mail had come from the Twickenham sorting office.

As we have been sold down the river by ward&hayes i guess he thought he may as well send the letters the same way.
