It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

hi all, I'm a keyer myself and I'm glad to see we have our own thread. If you google my name you may start to undertand how out in the cold and dark we feel. Under payed and largely unappreciated.

Some shifts are going to allcated seating plans to ensure people don't talk to their neighbour and talking to someone 2 seats away is banned. Couples are being seperated, friends also.

I thought the nazi's lost the second world war. Perhaps I was taught wrongly at school. :)

hhrrrmmmm. did anybody mention CSR, thats corporate social responsiabillity. Bullshit I says.

Plus we are told we need no geographical knowledge to do this job. How many people know that Darlington, Perth is in western Australia. But people are expected to know that is not a Scotish postal address and have been told they are wrong to key this as Domestic mail. There are a long list of similar things, but I won't bore you further.

We are treated like machines but the only reason we are here is because we get called in when then machines fail to read the mail. Anybody familar withe the TV series "the prisoner" with patrick mcgoohan will apreciate this.

I am not a number-I am a free man.

Re-Do I know you

I don't think we know each other as I know very few on earlies and don't know any couples. I may know you and your husband seperately and not realse you are a couple but I doubt that. I think the MDEC will get harder if you want any bonus in future!

It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.
