Judging by the photos that have been posted and assuming that they are typical of MCs around the kingdom, I would say parcels must be in the high millions.

Letters? People don't really do letters anymore. That's why we're a parcel company. So maybe a dozen!

Best guess is around a week's backlog? The problem is whilst the company is basically shut for two days PO's etc will still be accepting parcels so the backlog will be growing, unless customers are now turning to other couriers in large numbers. I guess the bigger question is how many Christmas cards and parcels will still be stuck in the system when the next strike starts on the 23rd?? The last posting day should have been last week not the 16th.

How are most post offices accepting parcels when we aren't collecting them for two days?

Don't know if we're diverting stuff to larger MCs but we've not had any sort of backlog from the strikes, just the normal extra work from Xmas pressure and even that's bee way down on normal (probably due to people cutting back on their spending due to the cost of living crisis). It seems to be very much hit and miss as to what areas have backlogs

We were a week behind on most of the mail that was getting posted on Tuesday so there is definitely backlog probably in a car park somewhere.

Storing them &/or having them collected by agency staff etc?
