Well discuss this. If by a miracle RM all of a sudden came up with a amazing deal. Not perfect it never is. But they gave us virtually everything we could dream of. So how would postmen feel if the deal was rejected because more and more people all other the country and other union leaders pressed the CWU not to accept any deal? A national strike was what they wanted? That wont happen surely? What I'm saying is our union should be pushing for the best deal for us.

Because it would be put to the members because the leadership would tell anyone who listened, including other union leaderships that it was the best deal available.

Relevant here as he references postal workers basically saying that the BBC are just parroting the right wing press (Mail, Sun, Telegraph) etc. in sticking up for the government and the millionaire company owners and not sticking up for working people.

I do think that the BBC is biased towards royal mail plc and against posties in the rubbish that they print about 9% payrise etc. when it isn't a 9% payrise.

A lot of neoliberals are culturally left-wing but economically right-wing. The biggest issue the BBC has had under this government is the level of interference - at board level, the BBC is now full of Tory cronies. They haven’t really had much choice while the threat of revoking the licence fee has been held over them.

Blimey if he's in charge of the BBC no wonder its veered off to the right wing, that and threats by the government to cut their funding always helps promote the government agenda.
