Does it never occur to you that ST might also be saying, "They ain't budging"? :Applause

Withdrawing our labour is the only thing we have. Its the only thing any worker has. Fortunately, there's 115,000 of us doing it. I don't know what else you're expecting? The plan is we continue IA, until some compromise is met. Christmas and backlogs are not, and never was, what is going to push RM to its limits. Long term disruption is what will do it. IA is an unsustainable position for a business to remain constantly in. ST will have been given a limit to how far he can go, before he has to make compromise.

This is the biggest, and most hostile attack, on jobs and terms, I've ever seen in my 30 odd years of working in RM. Of course they're turning the screw, they're throwing every petty thing they can at us, to demoralise us, to stop the strikes, which according to you don't bother them. The union hasn't said a thing about giving up, or it's hopeless, that's just u projecting. They sounded is totally subjective. I'd agree with you, if I'd heard anything to indicate that.
Well said HH. :thumbup

It's definately a game of brinkmanship .... whose going to Blink First? ..... Not Me! :cuppa

I listen to all these Union live things and I always come away thinking it is all waffle. I just heard an interview with Dave ward on some Radio Station I have never heard of, he talks of a plan to develop us in the community, some kind of Royal Mail social workers, care in the community types. When asked, he never has any details. That bloke Webb just winds me up, click this, type bullshit in that, it isn't a f***ing game, these are people job's. I don't know the answer, I am getting out and will continue to support the strikes until the day I am but all the time ST is in charge, sorry to go against the grain, he isn't budging, you can strike until hell freezes over, he isn't budging and they have the anti union laws on their side.

We may well have offered a deal to RM to call off the strikes and you would think any employer standing to lose a whole lot of customers would bite their hands off, well they haven't. They are happy to have us out on strike. Ask yourselves why?? Why are they happy to have us out on strike, losing customers, losing business, possibly forever and no dividends this year for shareholders. Why?

They are not going to sack us, there would be no company but they could do what asda did and give you a new contract. I was talking to my COM, many years in the job and he said to me, you just can't trust this bloke, we don't know what he is going to do next, nothing would surprise me. Those are the words of my COM.

I said to my partner when we balloted, we won't even have to take one day of action, we will get such a massive result he will bottle it, especially with xmas coming, how wrong was I? He is now threatening to take away his Best and final offer. Ok take it away, not worth a w*** anyway but the truth is, he hasn't blinked and Dave Ward looks clueless.

Hardly a mention of us on the news today, the big talk is inflation, the train strikes, nurse strikes and the boat sinking and the ongoing rescue operation in the channel.

Unless Dave Ward shares some of his plans with us, many will vote no in the re ballot. It takes more than blind faith.

It was RM that asked what was needed to call the strikes off , it wasn’t us running to them. We then told them and they refused as is their right. They can bluff all they like but the company is losing a lot of its reputation and once that’s gone it takes a while to win it back.

Dave Ward said make no mistake there are sinister forces at work in the background..we talking World Economic Forum Klaus Schwab Trilateral Commission I assume?

No coincidence everyone is going on strike right now, old Klaus predicted it.

After christmas royal mail have to push through the necessary revisions without our input they will be a disaster plus they will have the workforce actively working against them as our manager states he is under pressure to implement these which he will not so he expects to be removed from our office also on a daily basis he pleads with us to deliver as much as we can and book overtime, the agency staff are costing to much money for very little work royal mail will have all their data they need to already know this.

That is fire and rehire ( which is still sacking us )

ST is on record as saying that wont be happening ( yes I know you cant trust him )
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

Yes our way of life is being dictated by The WEF with the help of their Placemen in Parliament, Business and the Media.
Our dispute is a small part of a bigger agenda.

I agree, yes it is fire and rehire, which he could do but the ones on here think he would literally give you a P45 and he has no staff, that is how I define being sacked. All the people saying he can't sack 115,000 under fire and rehire he can. If we are talking P45's then no. that would be company suicide.

My COM actually said to me, I think he will give you all new contracts as he threatened to do with the managers, he only needs to run down the clock to enable him to do it,

No idea, when push comes to shove, sign this or have your P45 who knows, many people in RM work sundays and past 3pm in the afternoon now, because they do doesn't mean I want to.

Funnily enough I am going into a job that has sunday working and less pay because I am sick of it now and want out.

If Royal Mail push through with the changes and we can't stop them I will happily see this business burn to death. I will avoid using Royal Mail services as much as possible going forwards.

-Agency workers costing ridiculous amounts of money who probably come and go quicker than current posties do. In this line of work you need to know the area you are working in otherwise you will be so inefficient at your job. Many agency workers bring parcels back with 'could not find' written on the parcel.

-New staff on low pay and crap terms and conditions - again these people will be hard to retain due to the enslavement they will endure.

-Revisions would be ridiculous. Walks would be unachievable. Walking 15 miles per day - Royal Mail are clueless.

-If they go as far as getting rid of letters altogether that would destroy a lot of small retail businesses that send out small 'large letter' or less sized items. Royal Mail would also lose a lot of income there alone.

A lot of people would not sign it....

a lot of people would sign it but aim to leave within a year.

a lot of people may sign it and give it a go and then be like 'f - this - I ain't walking 15 miles a day!!!' then leave.

I think Royal Mail will always have big staffing issues going forward if they did force all the changes through.

You need to see it for what it is , it’s a platform for union propaganda just like workplace is a platform for Royal Mail propaganda.I don’t know what you expect, it goes out on the eve of every strike day to rally the troops . They are not going to go into fine detail regarding future agreements, those discussions are obviously for behind closed doors.

I have to disagree that British people don't respond to threats and intimidation if the Pandemic was anything to go by, most of the population were very obedient.
The Governments Behaviourial Insight Team were more than happy with the British people's compliance.
Not sure I agree with that.
Most people were compliant in the pandemic because they felt it was for the greater good, they were protecting others by following government guidelines.
This is different.
I also think one of the main things we are up against is people's selfishness and the "look after number one" attitude.
That's how it works!
They manipulated public opinion sighting "the greater good" whilst the Politicians partied and people's loved ones died alone in Hospital.

Too deep for me. Perhaps the whole pandemic thing was a hoax! Donald Trump said it was and he's a very sane man.

Why not have a look at the agenda of those Billionaires of the World Economic Forum who meet at Davos every year, they don't hide anything and it's on their website what their aims are.
As far as I am aware I never said Covid was a hoax or mentioned Donald Trump.
Very lazy Gaslighting from you, try a bit harder next time :thumbup .
