Very very heavy today :( on big walk with lot of slope. Roll on April as no more flats on this walk. :) and reduced delivery points by 170. So it should be about 1.5-2 hours quicker overall.

A TSD - my cover guy was off sick and 7 packets and 3 coded bundles were left for me to do - and I thought streamlining was just leaveing MS3 not just 3 random bundles of coded. On top of that it was a busy day. Ah well bust Saturday to look forward to and of course everything will me forgeotten when we beat Chelsea tomorrow.

You're lucky because I've never had a long weekend, unlike all the other reserves who tend to get left on a duty (in one case for 18 months).

As for today well it works out like this:40 mins IPS
90 mins prep/load up
40 mins break
6hr delivery

I really hate this duty :evil/mad [/i]
6 hours are you serious?, Are you van/rural postie?. Longest walk Ive done was 4hour 20 min and nearly killed me, was hilly as well, 6 hours would tell them to you no what.

That's a van duty but the shortest rural we have is just under 5 hours.

Had quite a good day today(for a change) not too many irate customers, had that nice young copper in off Crimewatch (there are some perks for working in CO :angel ), followed by some very distressed woman wanting a SD that apparently had already been signed for and delivered this morning  not alot I could do to help out there as DO managers had left hours before
Off now till Monday :nana :nana :nana
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Today was really bad. Got in only to find someone else on the duty that I was supposed to be on so asked the manager only to be met with a look and the words "are you not off today" then they checked the rota and I wasn't off but on a different duty, then I was told I was on another duty for the next 4 days and a different on on Saturday :hmmmm I feel a row coming on tomorrow :Very Happy .

I have done this walk before but with extra housing estate. But it is much easier to do this walk with trolley and finished it in 5hr 15 minutes and I got 2 hours overtime everyday for this walk (as it got over 700 houses) so this will be nice extra 100 quids on my holiday next week in Seville and Madrid. Very very heavy day due to load of Gas and Telephone bills for this area. :( and load of yapping dogs in the area.

I can't wait for the weekend.

Not a bad day - didn't go in early started at 6am have not got a car, done 1/2 my door 2 dustbins. 620 houses started at 0945 done for 1250 and I strolled round . Makes up for last week when I was regularly going over by 30 minutes (claiming though). Cover man is going to Union meeting on my day off so if it stays like this will do 6hrs overtime this week.

not happy

we are doing the cutting of works in my office.
Faced with the bad news, that after spending 15 yrs on the same walk, it is going part time in the repick.
428 drops and pegasus reckons it will take only 2hrs and 30 mis to do.
some of my customers were well pissed off that i wont be on the duty for much longer.
everyone has been rubbing my nose in it saying u can do a real duty name, less yakky but work
that doesnt help either :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh
