the compulsory covering of people on sick or annual leave, it's not an either/or choice, it's
Royal Fail's dictat, a must happen scenario.
- New arrangements to cover for one another and develop sensible options to absorb absences, and increased workload, where time exists within normal hours
one simple answer do the job properly no one is covering anything unless
Joint Working Group 2 – New Reward Framework will examine pay simplification possibilities (within the existing pay bill), a new pay and reward package, different pay models, reviewing on what the local element of the ColleagueShare dividend for years 2 and 3 will be based and MTSF. The Group will also consider how to implement monthly pay. It will also review annualised hours or banked hours, flexible working, and possible changes to attendance patterns that could both benefit the business and employees and is in line with the company’s family-friendly policy. The group will decide whether it needs to operate sub groups for any
which is proper bull

Well said DH, Our rep is also a right awkward so and so. I just wish he`d come to work a bit more oftenDirtyHarry wrote:I've a feeling our rep will tell anyone who insists our members have to cover other people off sick or on leave for diddly squat, to f--k off, or
words to that effect. I think members ought to remember that phase two of Royal Fail's completely idiotic plan includes 6 into 5, the lapsing of one
duty out of every six for the entire summer, then if that doesn't completely rock you, Royal Fail's finest incompetents will bowl you over with phase

UNIT REPS, MEMBERS, BEWARE.........THE WRITING'S ON THE WALL. SAY NO.

Good post mate. Exactly the scenario in my place, currently people are still rushing about like nutters etc, etc and making time, but the fact is in reality when one takes into account that they get in up to 2 hours before their start time and take no break, they really are not making that much. As i said to my DOM the other day, take away the (percieved) carrot of job and finish, with flexibility and the real picture of this mad hell hole will quickly become apparent.bandit650 wrote:Some of the fears come out of the fact that the management have not got a clue on how its going to work, they also are under pressure to do what ever they have to make it go through and to work, problem is managers are in fear themselves if they dont do as they are told then they will be replaced with someone who will.
Thing is 1 they can bring in what they like BUT they have to make it work.
You as staff only have to work your contracted hours no more no less.
Do the job as it should be done dont come in early dont cut corners take your breaks and dont use your own cars, why because if you dont take this lot into consideration then you are giving the management what they need and you end up a knackered wreck.

The fact of the matter is we could all have achived so much more than we got and it is a crying shame we could of had 35 hour full time working week mon-friday and £350 national (london extra) but we fell at the last hurdle and shot ourself's in the foot and now we will pay the price for our lack of VISION!.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

They can tell us what they like in our office we lost the £400 because we didnt sign up the agreement before the 31st of the month so i think they might get alot less of a response from staff and all because we didnt like what they put in it,we did tell the DUM we would'nt just sign to anything now hes going round spitting his dummy out.

Bandit the sign up date have been moved bk, so get back into the doms office an tell him to talk about some realistic ways of introducing flexibility!!! Im currently negotiating a flexibility agreement for the dist area of my MC, its not going to bad an hopefully with a few more amendments and a few clever changes of the wording we should be able to sign the deal off on friday.I must stress that its a negotiation process, not a case of your dom coming up with a wish list, so get bk in there and get the the £400 for your office!! Remember if its difficult, to call on the help of your area rep,my local cdo signed up this week if you like i could get a copy of the agreement and send it to you if that would help???bandit650 wrote:They can tell us what they like in our office we lost the £400 because we didnt sign up the agreement before the 31st of the month so i think they might get alot less of a response from staff and all because we didnt like what they put in it,we did tell the DUM we would'nt just sign to anything now hes going round spitting his dummy out.
