Tracked Items

Post by dvbuk55 »

Everyone will be tracking the arrival of items at the DO but is anyone tracking them if they are not delivered?

They should be tracked when reaching the DO and if not delivered they should be scanned again with a reason for not being delivered. They are scanned again on collection or re-delivery

Thanks for that DOM - we are obviously not carrying out the procedure correctly. In truth no one seems to be responsible and no one seems to care.

We used to scan them back in but because the managers were never there whenever we got back all that happened was the packets stayed in the DOMS office and then nobody could find them.

The sector that I work in are working hard on the quality of service with this product. In my office, I have 4 people trained on how to treat these tracked items and we get emails notifying us how many we are getting the following day and the addresses they are going to so there is no excuse for not scanning them.

They get left on a desk until a LM who knows how to scan the items back in can be bothered to do so, if they actually gave us a scanner in Callers I would happily scan them back in, at least I've got them to give the customers then. I've been given my user name and PIN but no scanner
