Yes they did. A caller rang in and ssked the question that by manages prioritising packets and parcels over mail are they advocating wilful delay of the kings mail. Very good call. The whole two hours of listening was immense to be fair, all areas were covered from bullying and intimidation to overtime bans to starve us back to work.
Anyone who sits there and criticises Dave Ward after these days of interviews and decision making will never be happy.
Best union leader we could ever hope for.
Winning the media narrative, work piling up, tide is turning....
These two days have been a turning point I feel.

I thought Dave was excellent on the LBC slot and the tide definitely does seem to be turning over the last few days (ST's tv interviews were really poor and he looks like he is feeling the pressure now).

The only thing I questioned from the session is Dave wanting RM to continue to be cross-subsidised by GLS. I know cross-subsidisation happens in business but If GLS operate the very staffing model that the union are trying to protect its own members from then it does not feel right to me to want to be subsidised by profits earned off the backs of GLS workers under those same crappy conditions.

That’s not his point. His point is that us having good pay and terms and conditions off the back of those who don’t in GLS who are making a bulk of the profit doesn’t sit right with him. And it’s a good point.

The answer isn’t for us to have s**t terms and conditions to match them though as RM would like

Dave was brilliant last night. Obviously you could say we just got to hear one side of the argument, but as we all know, Daves account is far more honest and genuine than any of the bilge that spouts from Simon Thompsons mouth.

From what I saw of it Dave did a great job & must give credit to Ian Dale too for part he played in the phone in.
Most non biased towards the company narrative interviewer on any media platform I have seen.

He's decent Ian Dale. Was a Tory candidate at one point in time but he's always very fair and decent. No click bait 'gotcha' questions , and actually gives people a fair crack of the whip without tickling their bellies.

Ian Dale read out a message saying it was biased, and then pointed out, the CEO had been invited on, but refused. He made an appeal to the CEO, saying he knows he's watching call in. He then said he wanted people to phone in, and message, who want to complain, or disagree, but it simply isn't happening. Ian Dale is a Tory, he ran for MP for the Conservatives. LBC is msm radio station, they're hardly left leaning, or pro union. You just have to listen to a few seconds of Nick Ferrari.

Well said AD I agree. Unfortunately in a way GLS are proving what RM say, "If we pay less with crap T&Cs we can make a nice PROFIT"

I also think RM are using these Strikes to try and show that if they only have to deliver parcels they can make it work with less staff.

We all know that when we Strike the Strike Breakers are only prioritising Tracked Parcels and bugger the mail! Unfortunately my DO actually does quite a good job of clearing the decks of parcels with the help of strike breakers and agency staff. Plenty of letters left in the frame and on the floor when the Strikers come back.
