Tide turning against Thompson

Thompson has been brought in to do the very job he's currently doing, dismantling the company and smashing the workforce. I fear we're being naive if we think he's going anywhere. I remember people celebrating when Rico got the bullet, but statement the company put out about that made clear he was fired because we hadn't modernised enough. This has been inevitable ever since, with only Covid slowing down the process. I genuinely fear this is it for many and we're gonna lose this dispute, but am gonna continue to strike and try and win it even if I'm not expecting to.

i always thought covid accelerated the we are a parcel company thing.It gave them a free run at parcel only days and the gift of failing mail which never happened before the pandemic.

They used it as an excuse to trial things like parcels only on a Saturday for sure. By Covid kicking the can down the road I mean the fact profits exploded virtually overnight as every shop was shut meaning things were left as they were for that period of time. Many of the staff that will be currently working on these revisions were also working from home at the time, putting many of these changes on hold. We were having a collections revision and it was shelved because the planners weren't able to attend our office as they were working from home.
