I retire next year after next and if I get a redundancy that's a cheery on top. I couldn't care less. I've seen postman destroy their jobs . We kept saying the company will use the technology against us and its exactly what's happened. These management are scum and will do whatever to make your jobs low paid and miserable but postman only see today and the afternoon movie. You are right in some respects but other issues are completely unrelated to this , sick pay , Sunday working etc. are not related to the issues you raise .

who in their right mind would trust a man who is trying to destroy their jobs putting forward a final offer that nobody in their right mind would accept after xmas revisions will be implemented by management hoping to secure another bonus for themselves sadly for mr thomson he will have to learn very quickly that you need your team working with you and not against you this exercise will be a total disaster a bit like the agency workers they have employed at the office i work at exploiting royal mail finances for very little work our manager actually sacked two of them because they phoned in sick and refused to bring their vans back, the following week he was overruled and told to phone them up and get them back into work which they did and went around our office bragging to anybody who wanted to listen, they were begged to come back, when we repeated their conversation to our manager he said that was true he had no choice in the matter.

And that is the type of thing which is destroying this company with Simon Thompson's blessings .
