Yep, couple of the lads said they were going to cross the picket line this week including my van share. Says they are struggling but he and his wife both work full time and on constant trips up and down the country to festival's, music gigs, shows etc which doesn't come cheap. They don't have kids so basically crossing the picket line to fund their lifestyle. I won't treat him any differently deep down he's a lovely guy and has been on strike up until now. Think simon is hoping people will drift back
He’s not a lovely lad , he’s a selfish s**b🤬🤬

Sadly this is exactly what RM wants, you on your knees ready to accept anything.
Well this is another tactic that Simon is trying to pull out of the hat.

With Simon reducing overtime to pretty much zero, and part timers relying on the overtime, I do sympathise for the 3 that had to cross the picket line and had no other choice.

I've said this to fellow colleagues, that if your really struggling were all here to help. Either that be getting food on the table for yourself or family, car sharing if you can't afford the petrol to get to work.

We're in this together, don't let the rich grind you down.

Spoke to 3 lads who together decided to go in today. All with young families and down to their last pennies. All have asked our union rep for help to be met with same "we're all in the same boat" answer. You can see the anguish they're are going through. Speaking to them it was very hard for me to feel any sort of anger towards them crossing the picket line.

Peoples savings are getting exhausted, mental health being kicked from pillar to post. You can talk about the future but for many its about the here and now.

So Royal Mail AND the CWU get this sorted, please.
A strike breaker is a strike breaker!!🤬🤬 There is no excuse, never ever cross a picket line .

Me and my wife both work for RM and I agree the financial strain is tough and causing issues but there is no excuse for going in✊✊✊
These strike breakers will only be too happy to benefit from any gains that result from strike action. If it were up to me any scab would have their pay and conditions frozen where they are. To Benefit from others sacrifices is not on!

I have 3 young children my mrs is at uni these lads at breaking point iam at breaking point but I can see futhur past my end of my nose
There’s other jobs out there and help out there they can get at the moment

I’d rather be skint die on my feet than work for these Royal Mail twats at the moment
So you’d rather see Royal Mail go completely under and 115,000 people lose their jobs.
You’re complaining about there’s other jobs out there for these lads maybe it’s you who should be looking for other jobs if you’re no longer happy with your employment.
We are a private company and like any company whether I or anyone else like it is all about money for shareholders.

There are very few jobs out there that pay as well, yes there is a few but there are also very limited number of jobs where we get the perks we get.
Paid breaks, very good sick pay. And to be fair the wage isn’t awful.

Indeed 100%

Interestingly we got a Tracked 24 delivered today by a Yellow viz RM van driving agency/ new starter.
So he’s me on strike earning nothing where Our replacements are raking it in.

For the record my Mother received a T48 today as well.
Where are the £1 million a day losses it is a factor that they choose agency staff in hire vans over your own employment and retention of your employment in the business!
Irrelevant all these 1 million a day , shareholders payouts to the Public they know crony capitalism is fundamentally the Devils spawn.
Read the Private Eye magazine falsifying figures is 10 a penny.
They want rid of us it’s that simple.
Whatever the cost.
All the long time servers I know are in for VR.
People RM through and through.
The point stands RM are stilling offering a service and the same time breaking the Staff/ The Union.

This was a fight one day we would have fight but not at the worst possible time.

You mean the perks that were hard fought for and if rm get their way , about to be removed.

Embarrassing.

The longer this goes on the more people will drift back. You only have to look at the miners strike.

This willy waving who has the biggest gonads serves no purpose on the ground. The two protagonists will not face the reality of hardship.

The reality being people still have to pay priority debts such as housing and council tax. You miss council tax, the Local Authority will gain a liability order and send in the Baliffs.

You miss payments on loans, credit cards etc, as well as Baliffs, they just screw you with missed payment and late payment/collection fees. Not to mention having your credit rating screwed for six years.

The dispute is valid and needs support, but there has to be another way such as three day rolling strikes. That way you only lose a days pay a week.

But that is a non starter as individual Branches cannot even keep their membership details up to date.

A lovely guy who is prepared to shaft his colleagues rather than miss a few gigs? Lovely guys like that can go f**k themselves.

Anyone who claims to be too hard up to strike, but then still goes on holiday next year, goes for a session down the pub, visits the bookies, buys gig tickets etc are simply cowardly scum.

What do you think you’re doing to these young lads that are just trying to feed their kids. Look in a mirror, your no better than Royal Mail.

People moan about Royal Mail managers being bullies, seems some sections of the CWU are equally as bad with their colleagues.

I takes one person to end this dispute and that is the CEO ATTENDING listening and talking not handing over a document telling us this is the way it is going too be. Negotiation is an art dictatorship is an offence to each and everyone of us all.
As to the people who crossed the lines you could do other jobs on the side it is a shame that these people could not do what most of us have been doing but this will go on, Even in time we get an agreement it will come back to us all this happens because the rich of this world are not rich enough but poor in morality it is an age old thing!

:Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause capitulation ! it sickens me
And comments like this sicken me when 3 young lads are at there wits ends and being told to basically let your family suffer and support a union that has little help or support available but want our support 100% ??? Irony?? They want your support but have no support for struggling members?

So these people that think it’s wrong would they see these lads kids suffer, starve, be homeless?? Bet the union won’t pay his rent/mortgage!!
No they won’t and I wouldn’t expect them to, I expect my union to get me reasonable pay and decent T&Cs which we currently have (because of the union) and the reason we’re striking is because the business want to remove that.

If people can’t afford too or are not willing too lose £400 a month to keep these T&Cs how the hell will they survive on SSP or when there supplements are taken away??? If we lose this dispute RM will remove everything we currently have.

No excuse for strike breaking ✊✊✊
