Been told today no working days off

It is the runners coming in early, not taking breaks, not using trollies etc that has caused this attack on terms and conditions. Cutting the job up is now supported by all that lovely PDA Data

This time last year there was more than one thread on here about managers fudging the figures, forcing tracked through (and at least one person being told to scan unattempted packets as inaccessible,) sending mail out "for a little drive" when inspections were due, and generally doing all they could to make a half full DO look empty to avoid being told off... At the time these behaviours were being touted as the reason for the now legendary "failed revision." Thankfully for them, we have all turned on each other now. Solidarity!

To be honest I’m really enjoying the job at the moment. Just take out enough work to last the duty time. We can’t go over as we won’t get paid for it so literally picking and choosing what to take out. I’m looking after the tippers. The non tippers are way down the priority list.

Was begged to work my day off today, refused and got the 3rd degree about why I couldn't work. But deffo no ban on overtime etc in my office

GOOD . Can't you lot out there see what your doing. You are shooting your self in the foot. If you want these strikes to end sooner rather than later. THEN STOP WORKING YOUR DAYS OFF AND STOP WORKING OVERTIME . ALL YOUR DOING IS HELPING SIMON TOSSPOT ACHIEVE HIS GOAL. I know it's hard losing a couple of days pay, but just see how hard it is with no pay at all when your out of a job.

What if the “couple of days pay” you lose is the couple of days you are contracted to work? How long do you honestly think a part timer working 2 or 3 days can afford to strike with either no pay at all or pay for only one day? How many weeks earning less than £100 could they last? RM want to work them into the ground, you want to force them out.

No, but then I’m far too useful to my manager and his bonuses for him not to have me in.

I don’t think they even allocate me a day on the rota anymore.

It's the ones who call strike breakers strike breakers, then come in on their day off to help out the very company they were trying to disrupt the day before. They are the underhand ones.
