Wing Walk Vicar Wanted For Wedding

A wing walking wedding might be grounded - because the happy couple can't find a vicar.
Postwoman Kate Hodgson and her fitness instructor fiancé Darren McWalter have the outfits, the rings and the plane - but they still need someone to marry them at 500ft.

The adventurous pair got engaged whilst travelling through the Brazilian Rainforest. They didn't want an ordinary wedding so they decided to get in touch with a wing walking team.

The happy day is booked for August and they'll be flying from the Team Guinot's airbase in Gloucestershire - hopefully with a vertigo free vicar in tow.

The bride will be on the wing of one biplane, the groom on the wing of another and the vicar - when they find one - will be strapped facing backwards on a third aircraft.

They'll shout their vows through microphones which will be heard by their congregation on the ground through a PA system at the airfield.

Unfortunately, or perhaps luckily for them, there aren't enough aircraft for bridesmaids.

So today - Valentines Day of all days - they'll be having their first go at wing walking and they'll also be appealing for a plucky vicar to join them on the big day.
