Royal Mails proposed criteria for compulsory redundancies

Outrageous Royal Mail have now given the union their criteria for compulsory redundancies across each function :

For Delivery Collections the following criteria will be used :

1. Have you got any current conduct code penalties on your record.

2. Have you got a driving licence and are you willing to drive for the companies.

3. Customer complaints against you.

4. Employees with most absences and second the total number of absences.

For processing

1. Any individual with conduct penalties.

2. Anyone who is not automation trained and this will also be based on experience.

3. Anyone who is not Tug trained.

4. Siso and scan compliance

5. Employees with the most absences and second the total number of absences.

Distribution

1. Anyone with Conduct

2. Driving licence and willing to drive for the company

3. Telemetry

4. Employee with the most absences and the total number of absences.

CSP

1. Conduct

2. Management assessment

3. Employees with
Most absences and total number of absences.

I drive but if any close colleagues of mine are forced to leave employment because they don’t have a driving licence despite spending most of their lives WALKING for this company then that will be the final straw for me.

How can they use driving criteria in Distribution we all drive ffs.
It’s got to mean anyone without a driving license.
