Posted speed limit

I am a collection driver (non-tachograph) with the Royal Mail. My job involves collecting mail from urban mailboxes/post offices between 2pm and 6pm. The company recently introduced revised collection routes and the time allowed for completion is based on an average speed of 20mph. Many of the roads I use have a 20mph limit and, not surprisingly, I am finding it impossible to complete my collection in the time allocated (I obey speed limits and drive defensively). As a result, management is implying that I am incompetent. I'm almost certain that drivers who are running to time are speeding and/or driving recklessly.

I agree, many drivers completley disregard speed limits when doing collections, and if and when there is a problem, R/M WILL COME DOWN ON THEM SAYING `WELL YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE BROKEN SPEED LIMITS` You are not incompetent, ask your Manager if he is asking you to break the law?
