Things desperate altogether at my MC, especially the Mech.

Didn't have time to sequence the MILF before Wave 2 so ended up just walk sorting her.

Our mail center was full to the brim for dayshift/late - over 30 yorks left over

as for night shift same plenty left over - around 20 yorks.

Main problem we have seen was tracked 24 (gold spots) mixed in with normal packets and specials all over the place, and please dont get me started on missorts

Gold spots? Are those the VIP tracked? If so they're pink up here in our area. Anyway glad to see the mail centre chocka.

Thought with sunday deliverys that track24 was more important and has been coming in to the mail center pretty much all bundled into T24 yorks only with maybe a handful of T24 dotted around.

This saturday night it was like someone threw it all in a mixing machine and said there you go "all done" lol

I don't work Saturday nights. I believe that MCs with PSMs chuck all the Tracked and non-Tracked through the PSMs to get the maximum throughput and minimum downtime out of them (I'm assuming it takes a good few minuets to clear down a PSM and change streams

Well last night was the worse i have seen it, might have to go back to covid times to find it worse.

Not sure how tonight will go as not in tonight but they do have triple the staff than they normally do, xmas temps will be fired at what was left over from saturday night and what comes in tonight, last Sunday it was busy, so expecting them to get hammered

Exactly the same in my MC . All loose letters just thrown into yorkies along with tonnes of missorts and track 24 . Edit, And I forgot to add special delivery letters thrown in loose as well . An absolute shambles .

On previous strikes I can remember the tv crews were in the mail centres showing how rammed they were. Maybe they will get access again as the strikes continue towards Christmas. Then again we are privatised now so maybe not.

Royal mail have made out that strikes have had little impact and the work is quickly cleared!

Going by what I saw today that isn't true .
