What about we all stand outside the gate and wave our hands in the air ?
Like Nazis.
Youve just jumped the shark rambo.
Hmm... I'll get my coat and leave I think. Lol. Was just an unfortunate observation others have made on here. Gotta agree those pictures were cringe worthy.

And when the manager instructs you to continue to deliver how you have been delivering before?

I have no problem with it because for me its a case of working even more diligently than I was before.

But if you're one of the ones that are coming in early and rushing round to complete 2 days worth of work just to finish somewhere closer to your actual finish time. You really need to ask yourself what exactly have you gained? Managers in our section know who the flyers are and allocate the agency NOT to deliver their parcels on the strike days because they know they can complete when they come back.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

You remind them that we mustn't be resistant to change and modernisation. We're a parcel company now, don't you know?

You also record them telling the person next to you to prioritise tracked, regs and collections because they never completed before all this. If the most productive stop digging them out, they're screwed. It's not about doing the job properly - lots of fast, efficient people do that already, it's about doing the job damn awkwardly and if everyone committed to that, even for a short while, I can't see them not changing approach.

Its not a tactic - its a way of working that we really should all be looking at. Otherwise, why bother striking in the first place?

There are plenty of posties who gladly come in early and race round. They don't want confrontation with managers so that they get all the docket and/or get to stay on a duty that they haven't signed for?

Just giving some honest fb

Got to be work to rule, all the donkeys will be mopping up the offices on Saturday, Monday & Tuesday :arrrghhh
Can only speak for my own, and go anecdotally on what's been said on here, but the company have effectively enforced work to rule themselves by banning overtime. Nobody will be mopping anything up in our place.

strictly one person only delivering parcels in the van at our place , woe betide they find out two of us have been in the van delivering (pda spies) , one of us does parcels (on the loops we will be taking back that day - usually 4-6) whilst the other does a couple of loops (mail and parcels) , seems to work for us. Totally agree with all the comments about the greedies mopping it all up , working days off etc , personally i think it diminishes the whole strike ! :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh

There has been discussion over local ballots. I think if we concentrate on areas around the superhubs this could work.

I’ve said on another post somewhere (I think) about announcing lots of dates but allowing staff to pick n choose when to work when to work when to picked, would create chaos. Manager wouldn’t know if an cpl of ppl are coming in or the whole office.

Its pointless that some people do this, coming in early, rushing around, be the coms favourite. Nobody, I mean nobody will gain out of this dispute if they behave like there the hero of the office.

People will complain about I'm losing money, but will lose alot more if we dont stick together and make these strikes and lack of favours work. Gone are the days of going that extra mile, finishing early, gaining 4hrs for doing 2hrs work. The CEO & board have changed there ways and so should we.

A work to rule would force some people to cross picket lines they are already struggling with 2 days pay loss so doubt much chance of that.

A least a ban on full timers working their day off, 5 days is enough, it’s just greed :arrrghhh
and working wallington weeks, controlling early morning prep, working holidays :arrrghhh
Our union rep has been working his holidays this week. We're not allowed the full allocation of people on leave just now as it's considered peak time so we only have a few off. He cried like a baby to get this week off in last year's pick and is now working them. He'd have been getting paid this week anyway so why hoover up the 3 days at the start of the week? Leave it for someone who wants to work their day off. Or even better take your effing holidays that you threw your toys out of the pram to get.
