I just love the idea of a party atmos on the picket line, get as many people as you can on it, bring some music, balloons, streamers, crisps and fizzy drink (no alcohol 
), and just live it up.

We've got one or two in our office who travel to work and back in their own clothes and change into their uniform at work. I always find that a bit strange as they aren't calling anywhere on the journey. Apparently the neighbours of one of them had no idea he was a postie until someone told them

Because we are postal workers on strike.
The picket line is outside the depot. It isn't outside of work.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Because some of us want to show Royal Mail that we are supposed to be WORKING and SERVING OUR CUSTOMERS and don't want to strike! Don't forget some (like myself) come from an era when you were proud to say that you were a postie.

We didn't have a rep at all at our office for the last lot of strikes, so I think as long as you behave yourself and do not enter RM property there's no reason why you can't picket.
