Not so sure about hostility. Dont think the general public give a hoot about us striking in fact there are plenty probably dont even know we are. For the younger generation we're pretty much an irrelevance now.

One thing that baffles me in all of this is Xmas and the run up is apparently our greatest threat in terms of industrial action. Can and will cause mayhem with the financial losses stacking up. We know it the board knows it Thompson knows it. So why all this upheaval now. A clever CEO would surely have kept quiet got Xmas out the way and then attacked us. Makes no sense. Presenting these changes to our terms and conditions he must have known no way would we agree. Deliberate financial ruin of the company seems his intent.

What's he apologising to the public for.... he purposefully understaffs us. My round hasn't gone out on my day off for almost 2 years now. The publics post/parcels are purposefully delayed by the CEO to save money, yet he's coming on the news to apologise for delays due to strikes....

Simon, apologise for purposefully delaying mail and parcels through your own mismanagement!

I don't think we've got any choice but to strike, apart from accepting the lousy offer made, this is down to RM delaying making the original offer meaning talks have dragged on so late into the year. Public opinion will really be shown by whether they still send Christmas cards etc or decide it's not worthwhile doing it if there's no guarantee they'll arrive this side of Christmas.

Just a pity Sky ended the interview with a wrongly worded question. as whilst DW offered to meet ST live on Sky they simply asked ST if he was still prepared to continue having talks with DW.

Now this is the problem I have, you have zero evidence what he is saying is untrue.

Simon Thompson on the otherhand has a Fiduciary duty to tell the truth being CEO. Anything less will result in criminal sanctions as it can manipulate the share price his comments on behalf of the company.
