The union are opposed to these VR terms so there are always going to be people spreading misinformation and downright lies to try and persuede people not to apply for it.

seemingly they are happy with seniority as it will cause less arguments and for what they are offering and will be seen in a better light with the majority of the workforce

I can see how ths affects DO'd and MC's, does anyone know if it affects Collections to the same degree - subs are open Saturdays, lots of Specials to deliver atm ...?

Pretty pointless making it by seniority on the 9 months plus £6000 terms.
The only people taking it on those terms will be years away from their pension

You're right. RM are ignoring seniority. They want the ones with more years left to leave. They know that people have their own idea of retirement age, and will go, regardless of a pay off or not. This way, they will transition to the new, cheaper and more flexible work force they want far quicker.
