Dave ward and the CWU need to come out and lay it on the line not only for all the CWU members but the whole of the country to just exactly what’s going on and going to happen to the postal service if we lose this dispute.

This was pretty much what was said at our gate meeting this morning, people are weary of it now and are talking about coming in from now on , there is no appetite for week long strikes.

Yes, noticeably sombre mood at the gate this morning. The raised hands for the photo was in silence.
Cold, dark, windy. People are tired. Long hard dark days ahead.
That 3 week break has sucked the life out of any momentum we had.
There's nothing worse than feeling like you're pis*ing into the wind, and that is how it seems now.
Most people are prepared to carry on as instructed by the union, but it's on thin ice.

I agree just giving up isn't really an option the dead line Thompson said has past yet there still talking.

We have three options

1. Strike and fight to save our jobs, and stop the errosion of our terms and conditions or at least a middle ground deal.

2. Give up and go in on strike days and accept that our jobs will now be decided on the whim of the likes of Simon Thompson.

3. Take VR

And make no mistake if we give up there is no going back to the job you know now, everything changes!

I’d say it’s more reality than negativity, it was a bit of a farce , I didn’t stick around to have my photo taken with my hand in the air and I wasn’t the only one.

The lesson to learn with this dispute is that you cannot run a campaign with click likes and pretty pictures on social media. It has to be done on the ground with the troops.

This whole dispute has been mismanaged from the start with one frac up after another just like the last dispute.

Serious consideration needs to be given in having new elections and have a fresh broom at the top, that includes the PEC as well who are as much use as a turd in a swimming pool.

This is kinda about the future of the union, if RM force the union out, them same people weary of it, will soon be moaning if RM came for everyone's allowances and tried to put everyone down to minimum wage

Not saying I agree with it , just saying how it was at our gate meeting this morning, first signs individuals are turning, our rep certainly noticed it and had to answer a few more questions than usual.
