Honestly think they are trying to force Share price down to make it easier for him.
Another conspiracy theory that came true
Or a lazy and factually incorrect assessment of the situation that has gained traction among people who don't actually understand how a takeover would progress.
Full takeover - must bid min highest price in previous 12 months I believe, currently that is £5.31, by February that drops below £4 biding his time. But ignore me that's lazy and incorrect of me ;)

After what was put out by the CWU, there is no more face saving for the Union... And RM will not entertain most of the things and the time of their proposal. It is like the CWU are not taking RM seriously - they still think this is a government job and they rule the roost in the workplace.

I am even shocked about how bad and sad and unrealistic the CWU are; I would not talk to them if I were in charge of my own company. They simply want to dictate to the company and continue to hamstrung the company despite not having any business plan themselves.

The tone and the demands are just shocking! No PLC CEO or shareholder board will accept such a statement after more than 6 months of talk.

People should be realistic and know that the path of the CWU is the path to ruin!
What else do you expect the union to do dealing with these jokers? I wouldn't be accepting anything they're trying to push through or on pay either?

Can we read anything into that this has come from Ricky and not Simon?
Is this genuine or photoshopped, as why is addressed to "Christopher" and why doesn't it appear to have been posted on Workplace?

To answer your question if it's genuine I assume it's because Ricky was originally leading the talks?

Simon said today @ 17:30 was the cut off point for a resolution.

He is being uncharacteristic quite… :nervous

Looks like quite a few managers have signed up and putting out defeatist posts and supporting pro Royal mail positions.

It's like reading an ukrainian war forum full of pro Russian trolls. :chuckle

Correct. People, please take the time to educate yourselves with a bit of research before tripping out the old 'trying to trash the SP' line.

Think it's actually the highest price paid for shares in the last 12 months by vesa, not the actual Sp in the last 12 months, which as you pointed out would be over £5. The highest price vesa paid in last 12 months I think was closer to £4.

Simon Thompson can say the talks are now concluded but the strikes won't be . I'm sure the shareholders won't mind watching the company burning .

The shareholders don't care. They'll get a nice payout when VESA finally buys R.M.

That’s if there’s any thing left of the company to buy .

I think that they will care as they will be losing customers/contracts who apparently won't return! Therefore us (employees) striking WILL cause them a loss especially given the critical time of November & December delivery pressure!

The property portfolio will still be there and worth a pretty penny.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
