Keep saying it but it takes two to make it work this is why I will not do that as a rep or officer or general secretary of the union!
But the ball is in their own court we played it back with top spin lets wait while ST say the ball was out!

So why don't our government do something about the people who feed them?hazzeem025 wrote: ↑21 Nov 2022, 16:00Thompson and the board aren't bothered about an agreement. Jesus when will people wake up to it? He doesn't care! He wants us out at Xmas so he can blame his militant workforce! Yes profits will take a hit but he doesn't care, it just plays into his hands. He and the board want VESA as the owner. They then flog GLS for billions, making themselves and the shareholders loads of money. The shareholders will support anything that makes them more money. It's capitalist greed. We can strike until Xmas next year the end result will be the same. Us f****d. Tell ofcom about 1000's of duties failing every week? They already know. Massive fines? Simon doesn't care, he just turns round and says the USO isn't sustainable and our wanky government say oh okay, reduce it to 5 days. And that's if the letters side of the thing is still run by Thompson. No doubt he'll f**k off in the next year to ruin something else in the name of 'shareholders' rant over.

get what your saying mate but think their agenda is totally different from what the cwu are proposing. as woody said previously the don't want written agreements the want to be able to just basically do what they want when they want.

Unfortunately that ship has sailed and submitting It now after many of the proposals have already been undermined by executive action just means it reads as an incredibly naive wish list which only serves to show the chasm between both sides and further deflate an increasingly nervous membership.
I think the PEC have completely lost direction and focus, it's pretty obvious some of them are living on past glories and are refusing to remove their heads from the sand long enough to see the reality of the situation.
Are they prepared to sacrifice the membership in order to save face?
How high will they pile the bodies?
The only legitimate reason for strike action is to force an acceptable resolution. At this late stage in the game that resolution has to be in touching distance, it has to be tangible. You cannot under any circumstances use strike action and members finances to punish the employer for not wanting an agreement... to save face.
I'll ask Martin an open and poison free question.
Is a resolution close Martin?
Sums it up perfectly. The PEC have just followed a trodden path of old worn out ideas. They seem to have little or no understanding of current employment legislation and have been totally outmanoeverd at every stage. It now is a case of do the members think their advice is sound enough to lose more pay!Woody Guthrie wrote: ↑21 Nov 2022, 15:13This should have gone in before the first strikes in August.

Pretty much this. But what can the Union do in the meantime? They have to look reasonable.hazzeem025 wrote: ↑21 Nov 2022, 16:00Thompson and the board aren't bothered about an agreement.
