Not this time, just your basic pay before allowances,20 years service at 60 will be around 18,000 with your 6000,on top,if you don't get 12 weeks in lieu of notice another 5000 but is this the extra 6000 they are offering if so that maximum anyone would get will be around 18000 whether you've done 20 or 40 years if you've done less it will be a pittance.fed_up_postie wrote: ↑17 Nov 2022, 19:53Not true they will include allowances like Defined area supplement, london weighting, leadership/coaching/tpm allowances, driving allowances, shift allowances, overtime at single standard pay rate (sspr)

Depends on your age as well as service. You’d get £5675 of the £6000 payment plus anywhere from 23 to 39 weeks pay depending on your age.silver_fox wrote: ↑17 Nov 2022, 22:20hi what could i get 15 years service and currently on 35 hours
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

these apps are dumb, why can't they have a website for this....
I cannot access the app as it is not compatible with my iPhone - the only way I can put my name down for this redundancy pay is by buying a new smart phone FFS!!!!

I’m thinking of putting my name in the hat. I’m 41 and only been doing this 4 years. I’m on a 30 contract what would I get for pro rata from the 6k?
I know I won’t get much. But with my mortgage already paid off I’m tempted.

Everyone engaging with RM over redundancy is just weakening the bargaining hand of the union.
What was the point of striking if at the first mention of a payoff you come running. Disgraceful behaviour.

Re: Are you going to apply for the redundancy on offer?
Are the union realistically going to get more money in the pot for potential redundancies. My moral compass is giving me a tough time deciding what to do.
I have a job half lined up anyway and was looking for a payout of some sort. Basically I will be leaving at some point anyway.... I feel it is morally wrong to follow their process and stitch up the seniority process and maybe overtake them if that is Royal Mail's preference.
I'm sure we will get offered more than this again and will I miss the boat? Royal Mail are a cunning operator, of that there is no doubt.
Putting people in difficult moral positions.
I'm siding towards not getting involved with the process but I would take the money 100% if the union were happy with it.

Haven't read all this thread, so sorry if this has been covered, but Dave Ward seemed to suggest a big sticking point was redunancy and terms of .. Thompson has been very clever - he can now go back to the CWU and say, look, loads of people want VR on the terms WE are offering... End of sticking point! Because judging just by my office, the VR preference will be massively oversubscribed!

Re: Are you going to apply for the redundancy on offer?
I doubt many who have applied will go when the push comes to the shove. A couple of senior men in our office are always mouthing off how they would "go for 10k today", now they have gone very quiet and are making every excuse under the sun about why they won't be applying

Re: Are you going to apply for the redundancy on offer?
Said that yesterday that everyone applying is shooting themselves in the foot and that’s exactly why Thompson has put it out and put a deadline for the 6k on it and I just got a mouthful off of those refusing to see the bigger picturejbo5066 wrote: ↑18 Nov 2022, 06:05Haven't read all this thread, so sorry if this has been covered, but Dave Ward seemed to suggest a big sticking point was redunancy and terms of .. Money talks
B*****t walks
RM offering cold hard cash. CWU offering iffs buts and maybes. We know we deserve more and it's unfair that it used to be 104 weeks. How much of gambler are you is what it comes down too..

What’s going to be the compromise on v r terms. Would the union get another 6 months tops. Royal Mail have already said you won’t get 2 years so where does that leave us ?
