i will stand by the CWU and fight these bastards with everything i have. i will fight until the the union tells me it has lost and accept EVERTHING they throw at us, and the job isn't worth a light, and the union is no more. and if that happens, i will leave knowing i didn't give in to Thompson and his clan. f**k THEM.

Just like the union did with the "no strings pay deal"? Anyone remeber that or has it been forgotten now?

the leadership of this union is by no means great, and loads simply do not want them in charge. i'm not too keen on Wardy meself, but they ARE in charge, and they are on our side, everyone has the option to drop out and accept what the company wants. i'm not.

If they do go down that route, then I think we'd be even more screwed that the crap deal they're currently offering, I'm guessing some things they'd go for would be:

* Mandatory Sundays for everyone
* Everyone being able to drive on deliveries
* All allowances (probably including shift allowances) gone
* Paid breaks gone
