I would have to tighten my belt even more,go without more luxurys and try to manage as best I can until I could find if possible better paid work or my partner was able to get back into work.
Thats it thats the only option many of us have.
Sorry but thats the honest truth of life for many working class people now,in my office there are so many posties with the attitude of I'm allright jack,mostly those with no school age kids,no mortgage or living at home with mum and dad still.
A d.o is a toxic workplace now,but I guess thats what the people in charge want.

So they say in the three days of action in their own half year report they say strike action cost £70 MILLION for three days does this include all the hire vans agency staff and the £1000 bung to managers. And will this result in another £70 MILLION after the 26 September to 26 December and beyond? RM should work with the D2D companies to have machine sortable ones, with addresses on them which could then be sequenced, don't know if iLSMs/IMPs and CSSs could be programmed to reject any where the address has an official opt out

I agree, well partly, RM certainly should work with the customers and maybe suggest and offer a better price for using a format that's easiest to handle, think dominos/farmfoods/Hilary's blinds leaflets, awful things, take ages to prep compared to say a letter or an A5 size item, no point addressing then sequencing them as unaddressed it doesn't matter what order they are in anyway.
