THE DEVASTATED mum of murdered postman Paul Savage believes the men who bludgeoned her only son to death are in prison for another crime.
June White, speaking on the fifth anniversary of his murder, says the police arrested the men shortly after her son’s slaying, but did not have enough evidence to lay charges.
The 30-year-old postman was clubbed to death in the street with a wooden post as he delivered letters five years ago in Mold’s Clayton Road, on February 4, 2003.
She believes two men convicted and jailed for attempted murder in 2006 were behind the brutal killing.
Recalling when she was told the news they were behind bars, she said: “I was told sit down, they are back on remand. I thumped the air.
“But they are not inside for my Paul’s murder, but another attempted murder.â€
