That's not good enough, I want to hear some details of what's been discussed, what are the sticking points.

At the end of the day, if the Company will not budge, then it's the role of the Union to agree the best deal available, and then put it to members.

I think by this point, we all know "a good deal" isn't possible. At this rate, if we strike over xmas, even a bad deal might not be possible.

I think a lot will go in the next strike days, most have zero confidence in top union officials. Once December is done so are we. Management willing to lose the the battle of Xmas to win the war. Everything will be bought in by executive action for the future of the company, as they see it. If everyone is totally honest the next few strikes up to Xmas is throwing your money away.

Exactly. And Dave Ward was a clown for giving false hope the company might negotiate. Thompson put it in writing there will be no improved offer. Tomorrow is going to bring a whole lot of gloom I fear.

It's not for the good of the people though is it? It's for the good of us lot, whose jobs will all be secure and people wanting the days back of being finished at 10 - 11 o'clock everyday. The government are not gonna buy us back, certainly not this one, and the incoming (probably) Labour government haven't given any indication that they'd do the same. We need to get over this pipe dream.

Look people, stop trying to over think whats going on and stressing yourselves out its all part of Simple slymans plan, having been around a year or two longer than most i can see theres something going on behind the scenes, perhaps tomorrows great announcement to the market will give us some insight into what is going on but perhaps not, the main thing to remember is back your union because if you dont it really will be the end. I fancy no matter what we do the CEOs agenda is never going to match ours and no matter what we agree to he will just push the boundaries back to keep us in dispute until he gets what he and the board are really after and usually that involves a lot of cash....... they probably just see us and royal mail as collateral damage and will go on their merry way. If i am wrong i will be pleasantly surprised. The thing is in this situation until it plays out all you are doing is guessing and stressing.
