Sick Pay
I have just had this week off sick and am expecting to be off for another 6 weeks. I have only had 1 day off sick in the 5 years i have been working for the company so i am not that familliar with the sick pay policy. I beleive that i get full pay for 26 weeks. Is this correct?

Hi.
I think you need to check with your area rep but as I understand it they calculate the 26 or 52 week period to include any sick time in the last 4 years,so for instanc if you previously have had say three months off in total over the last 4 yrs then you would only get three months now before you go down to half pay

Roger is correct, I believe. We had someone at our office who was constantly off sick, a few days here, some more days there and a couple of long-term absences.
By the time they got him to Stage 3, he'd had a couple of sickies where he got no pay whatsoever, because - he let it be known - of having more than 26 weeks sick in under 4 years
