It's interesting that Lou Barlow criticises the Tories for austerity when his beloved European Union imposed even harsher austerity on the Greeks which caused great hardship for Greek pensioners.
Not to mention their role in stealing money from Cypriot savers with the Bank bail in.
It’s interesting that you haven’t even attempted to explain how brown people coming here are somehow responsible for the fiscal mess this country is in. I noticed you also failed to answer the question as to whether you wanted the white Ukrainians sent back as well.

Funny that.
I believe I said that genuine refugees can stay and economic migrants should be deported.
I didn't say that 'Brown people' as you insist on calling them are responsible for our fiscal mess.
I said that we can't afford to keep housing unlimited amounts of illegal immigrants due to our fiscal mess.

Read back through my posts it is the first time I have used that term which is in reference to Lou Barlow who uses that derogatory term in most of his posts.
Nice try though :thumbup

1) Council Tax reform - Revalue houses and adjust them accordingly. Have people living in mansions contribute more than they do now, and those living in small houses less. The current system is outdated and as most things in this country do, favours the rich.
As there are far fewer "mansions" to pay more than there are "small houses" who will pay less then that's an instant drop in gov't/council income, so yet another black hole to fill.
2) A one off wealth tax for people who are sitting on millions of pounds of money that doesn’t feed into the economy.
If some have got "£millions" being sat on then there's a good chance that those same people will either move their money and/or themselves abroad somewhere. Harold Wilson tried that back in the 1960s and it as a failure then too.
3) Close all tax loopholes.
As easy as that eh? Stalinistic in it's simplicity.
4) NI payments on pensions, rent payments to landlords and all income. Working people are being unfairly burdened.
Pensioners aren't paid enough now, yet you propose further decreasing their income? Those same working people will then have to pay for various social security top-ups for the pensioners who will then dip under the financial safety net. Where have you been reading all this nonsense, some socialist workers rag or something?
A few ideas that don’t even touch on the more ‘outlandish’ ones such as repairing EU trade by joining the free market again, which we all know is the main reason we are heading for more austerity in this country, not because of the scary brown people.

The EU don't want or won't allow the UK to be in their single market anymore, or did you miss that bit?
1) Currently, a person living in a mansion pays at maximum 3x the amount of someone who lives in a one bedroom flat. This has to change.

2) Rich people aren’t going to suddenly remove themselves, their businesses and their family, if you propose a one-off wealth tax. You have been conditioned into thinking they will by rich media owners.

3) Yes, closing tax loopholes is as easy as that. Even the current Labour government have put forward this proposal aka the Cameron-esque Labour Party.

4) I said ‘pensions’. Private pensions should be paying NI contributions.

5) The UK can join the single market and the customs union without rejoining the EU. The EU have already said this is an option for countries who don’t wish to be part of the union.

P.S Calling brown people brown isn’t derogatory. Treating them like s**t or second class citizens is. Hope that clears that up.

We don't keep ANY illegal immigrants as a matter of policy (although deportation is now more difficult thanks to Brexit)

Perhaps read up on some basic facts before spamming the place with your racist propaganda.

Unless those economic migrants are either exceptionally wealthy or they have skills that this country needs.
(Apparently we have an acute shortage of sheep shearers and Australians fill that gap)

It is only poorer immigrants you seem to dislike.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

How long does it take to decide who is a genuine refugee?
And what do you do with those people while their claim is being investigated?

It can take years at the moment, thanks to the Tory government's incompetence and neglect.

And while people are waiting for a decision, they have full legal entitlement to stay here.

The minority whoe claims are refused are deported, although that's much harder after Brexit.

Amazing how many of these immigrant obsessed racists don't even have a basic knowledge of how the system actually works.

Private pensions are not exclusive to rich bankers. A lot of low income workers have private workplace pensions
that with foresight they've contributed throughout their working life to supplement their state pension. You want
to cut that?

Guess what we've got personal pensions too!

No. It is about doing what is right.
If it was about the economy surely it would just be cheaper to have open borders?

No border guards. No claims to process. No hotel bills.

Your so morally perfect, just let everyone have a free for all then NHS,benefits and everything else,it was ok in the past to have an influx but at some point it has to stop or the system just gets crippled, sunaks even agreeing now.
