I can't see why any Labour voters would oppose such a generous increase in benefits , they must be over the moon with this policy.
It's a pretty weak argument, oh oh oh but Labour would be worse. Labour would bankrupt the country (hint the Tories have done that). Oh oh but Jeremy Corbyn.
Just take responsibility for where we're at. The current state of the Country lies with the Governing party, that's been in power since 2010, and the voters that enable them by being routinely duped, by Daily Mail-esque soundbites. You should take a bit of responsibility.

For the record, I've never voted for Labour.
I have already said there is no difference between the Parties, do Labour ever really oppose any Tory polices?
In fact Labour were upset that the Tories weren't Draconian enough during Covid.

And I've said multiple times, that argument is only used to avoid taking responsibility.
Both by the party themselves, and by the voters that parrot them.

I don't think anyone who voted Tory had in mind that they would spend tax payers money like drunken Sailors and put up tens of thousands of illegal immigrants in Hotels.
I don't believe that was in their manifesto.
Interestingly the Minimum Wage has been a disaster for working people. As it has vastly speeded up Automation ie Self Service checkouts ,Gig Economy etc…
As for for the political debate….
Democracy is dead. Top down Managerialism with you having no say is the way we’re going..
Hence the current Royal Mail dispute.
Remember if you vote mattered they wouldn’t of given you it.
The Status Quo of 2 party politics has been absolute disaster for this country.
Serfdom here we come.We have badly let down future generations.

They should be taxing those that were furloughed an extra 2% or so. . If they were furloughed for two years then they should be paying that extra tax for 2yrs. If it was for 1yr then they pay for 1yr and so forth.

Absolutely and they weren’t paying National Insurance.
I suspect it won’t effect there Tab as it’s unlikely there will be a State Pension in a few years.
Our deranged political landscape has somehow rewritten the past to portray the last Labour government as a bad one. And Gordon Brown is somehow considered a bad chancellor even though he was probably one of the best the country has ever seen. At the beginning of the financial crisis, the rest of the world actually looked to him for leadership, and he was able to deliver.
Then we got the Conservative charlatans who have become so entangled in identity politics that they’re not even conservative anymore. They’re scrabbling around desperately looking for an ideology at the moment.

Gordon Brown made a massive cock up and gave all our gold away at a rock bottom price ,
He was a useless unelected leader .

So they've betrayed their voters, right?
And where do people vent that anger... literally anywhere but at the people responsible.

I'm sure people vent their anger at the ballot box.
