If a dividend is declared with Thursday’s results, even as little as 10p/share would cost £100m. They can’t then argue there is/was no money available to fully back-date the derisory pay offer.
If no deal is done with the CWU by Wednesday night, then we hit them hard with the strike on 24th/25th

Of course GLS makes megabucks - they're basically Hermes. It's what the company is striving to do to us. Destroying our working lives is their path to profitability.
The machine stops.

No signs of any 'investment' in our office! Uniforms, vans ,equipment ,building all look as knackered as the posties.norris9 wrote: ↑14 Nov 2022, 15:14For me - I don't feel my round is any less busy than it was a year ago other than not having 5 or 6 test kits a day to deliver.
On the other hand we have been employing less staff. Taking 2 days mail out every single week after our day off. Staff numbers are down 30%. So RM will be saving a tonne of money there.
If the rest of the country is like our depot you would think they'd be at least making the same amount of money they were in the previous year...
So I am not sure where it's going 'wrong' - if it actually is....
Are they simply accounting for a tonne of investments they have made into new hubs, electric vehicles, new uniform, new automated systems?....
Is the 'loss' actually due to modernisation costs?

There will be no divi, I can assure you of that. That would be suicide for slymon as ceo.wandle wrote: ↑14 Nov 2022, 19:20If a dividend is declared with Thursday’s results, even as little as 10p/share would cost £100m. If you exclude bulk postings, letter traffic is down massively over the last 5 years. Batch sizes on the mech have nearly halved

You may be right - but he is such a passive aggressive asshole he would do it just to stick two fingers up to all of us.theotherone wrote: ↑16 Nov 2022, 20:08I wouldn't put it past him.Just say GLS made up 100% of the divi.rambo1 wrote: ↑16 Nov 2022, 19:01There will be no divi, I can assure you of that. It takes just as long to deliver 1 letter to a house as it does 2, I might save 10 minutes of prep though.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑16 Nov 2022, 19:51If you exclude bulk postings, letter traffic is down massively over the last 5 years. Batch sizes on the mech have nearly halved
